Missouri Association of Code Enforcement is Hiring a Building Inspector Near Hazelwood, MO

Details
The City of Hazelwood is now accepting applications for a full time Building Inspector. Duties include:
  • Perform construction inspections during all phases of construction, alteration and repair for adherence to plans, specifications and compliance with City codes and ordinances
  • Perform code compliance inspections of residential, commercial and industrial structures
  • Perform commercial occupancy inspections
  • Respond to inquiries and complaints from the public, contractors and builders
  • Provide technical assistance and advice regarding building codes, laws and requirements
  • Check business licenses and occupancy permits and takes appropriate action
  • Perform disaster assessment inspections
  • Maintain the Vacant Property Registration and Unfit Property lists
  • Perform other related functions as required or assigned
