Trauma Education Coordinator

Mississippi Trauma Care System Foundation (MTCSF) in Madison, MS, is actively seeking a full-time Trauma Education Coordinator .

This position works full-time from 8 AM - 5 PM, Monday to Friday, and travel is required . This experienced Education Coordinator position earns a competitive salary of $72,232 - $108,348 / year , depending on skills and experience.

ABOUT MISSISSIPPI TRAUMA CARE SYSTEM FOUNDATION

The Mississippi Trauma Care System Foundation's (MTCSF) primary purposes are to lessen and minimize the cost burden to the Trauma System.

MTCSF develops and administers a uniform, non-fragmented, inclusive statewide Trauma Care System by providing leadership and administrative services to promote and improve organizational efficiency.

MTCSF supports and manages trauma education and training at various levels of the Trauma Care System. By directly engaging Trauma Care System participants to facilitate quality assurance and performance improvement with trauma care facilities, MTCSF provides solutions to strengthen data reporting, collection, analysis, and compliance across the Trauma Care System.

A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A TRAUMA EDUCATION COORDINATOR

As an Education Coordinator, you are an integral component of the Mississippi Trauma Care Systems Foundation (MTCSF). You will coordinate MTCSF's education opportunities and work with pre-hospital (Emergency Management Systems), hospital trauma program managers, registrars, and medical staff to schedule and facilitate training.

You manage and coordinate quarterly training for trauma program managers and registrars, provide training for new trauma program managers and registrars and coordinate and provide educational offerings to physicians, nurses, paramedics, and other health practitioners directly involved in trauma care.

Your job involves a great deal of collaboration. You aid trauma center registrars to ensure quality data is submitted to the Trauma Registry and work collaboratively with Trauma Centers to submit their data timely and accurately to the Trauma Registry.

Annually, you will assist in hosting the Trauma Care Symposium.

QUALIFICATIONS FOR AN EDUCATION COORDINATOR

  • Licensed Registered Nurse with a four-year degree from an accredited college / university is required with a background in Nursing, Business, Accounting, Information Technology, or Marketing is strongly preferred
  • Must have Trauma Nursing Core Course certification
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Excellent computer skills, including the ability to effectively use Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and other software programs
  • Valid driver's license and proof of insurance
