Will perform a wide range of secretarial duties in a very busy office- including but not limited to answering telephone, patient scheduling, collecting copays, collecting patient payments, computer entry, faxing, scanning, and insurance claim follow up. Employee needs to be flexible and a team player. Employee will be expected to work on various projects and work at various locations, as needed. Any other duties as assigned by manager. Staff member will perform a wide range of technical and clerical duties, working with clinic staff and providers with billing and account receivable management, staff training and development of standard operating procedures.

Provide patient care as directed by physician/nurse practitioner to contribute to optimal patient outcomes.

Requirements

Knowledge of various secretarial duties. Some nursing assistant skills would be a plus. Preferred high school degree or equivalent. Work experience in medical office would be a preference. Also, prefer prior completion of formal secretarial training program of experience. Prior medical office billing or accounts receivable, and computerized information /billing experience required. At least two years experience preferred. LPN Licensure/Medical Assistant certificate or experience with medical knowledge and/or experience in clinical setting. Knowledge of working with electronic health records.
