Overview

Responsible for the supervision of Slot Techs and the overall repair and maintenance of all electrical and mechanical Gaming machines.

Contribute to a safe work environment, through compliance with established safety guidelines, identifying potential safety hazards, and reporting same to the appropriate person for proper resolution.Maintain a professional departmental, company and community reputation.

Responsibilities

• Supervises the operation of all Gaming Machine machines and performance of Gaming Machine Technicians and communicates with Shift Manager on any Customer and/or Associate problems. • Responsible for the organization of assigned shift and area including; daily Associate assignments, Associate break schedules and staffing levels.• Make recommendations and suggestions to hire, suspend, evaluate, promote, assign, reward and/or discipline the Associates in his/her span of supervision. • Supports training programs for each position and ensures adequate training and development is provided for each Associate.• Responsible for troubleshooting and repairing all types of Gaming Machine machines and employed equipment to the component level.• Assists in connecting wires used for data and progressive systems as well as programming the super controller to display the correct amounts.• Maintains a working library of all technical manuals and customer notices issued by the venders to ensure compliance.• Develop and administer slot machine maintenance and repair program• Research and evaluate machine popularities; authorize and oversee machine conversions and relocations to maximize machine play and revenue.• Assist in investigating cheating attempts, percentage malfunctions, and substandard machine performance. Work with guests in resolving discrepancies.• Conduct game performance analysis. Review and analyze reports related to slot equipment performance.• Maintains a working stock of spare parts to minimize equipment down time due to equipment failure.• Responsible for the repair, overhaul, and proper preventative maintenance of all Gaming Machine machines to ensure optimal operation.• Handles floor maintenance and repair, and all high limit and third time machine fills. • Handles the initial set-up and check out of new Gaming Machine machines.• Responsible for the break down, relocation, and re-set-up of machines and stands to be relocated.• Knowledge of local jurisdiction gaming laws (federal, state, etc.) and attendant regulations as well as the Company’s internal controls, policies and procedures.• Brings disputes and unusual customer activities to the attention of the Shift Manager.• Leads by setting a positive example to all associates.• Must be able to maintain appropriate Gaming License.• Responsible for maintaining a consistent, regular attendance record.The above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by individuals assigned to this position. Qualifications

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Directly supervises all Slot Technicians on assigned shift.

Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training Associates; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining Associates; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

AGE and GAMING:21 years of age or above Gaming property – Must be able to obtain and maintain a gaming license issued by the Choctaw Gaming Commission.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:High School diploma, or GED and five (5) years Gaming Machine technician experience required. Electronics degree and/or experience preferred.

SPECIAL QUALIFICATIONS:Must possess excellent communication, organizational, and analytical skills. Must have knowledge of electronic testing equipment and all gaming devices.

LANGUAGE SKILLS:Ability to read, analyze, and interpret the most complex of documents, such as technical journals, financial reports and legal documents. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals, and work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference.

REASONING ABILITY:Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by the Associate to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

Essential responsibilities include moderate physical ability such as lift or maneuver at least eighty (80) pounds, and stand, sit, and walk for at least 80% of assigned shift. Bending, kneeling, stooping, pushing and pulling required. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

WORK ENVIRONMENT: The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an Associate encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.While performing the duties of this job, the Associate occasionally works near moving mechanical parts.The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. When on the casino floor, the noise level increases to loud. When on the casino floor or other designated areas may be subjected to tobacco smoke.

Due to the unpredictable nature of the hospitality/entertainment industry, Associates must be able to work varying-schedules to reflect the business needs of the property.
