Director of Nursing, Registered Nurse

We are looking for a solution focused, results driven, people leader to join our Mission Point of Flint leadership team to work alongside our community of compassionate, dedicated caregivers with a desire to make a difference and deliver excellence to our residents, staff and families.

What you will do:

  • Grow and develop a strong clinical leadership team and staff.
  • Provide the team an avenue for continual professional development, cadetships, recognition, advancement, and career opportunity.
  • Ensure the best clinical outcomes for our residents and patients.
  • Ensuring proper Policies, Procedures, and Protocols for care are in place to include the entire nursing process.
  • Develop, maintain, and implement nursing policies and procedures that conform to current standards of nursing practice, facility philosophy, and operational policies while maintaining compliance with state and federal laws and regulations.
  • Communicate and interpret policies and procedures to nursing staff, and monitors staff practices and implementation.

What you need:

  • Must possess a current Michigan license as a Registered Nurse and have graduated from an accredited school of nursing.
  • Two years of professional nursing experience in the long-term care setting is required, and a minimum of three years’ experience in nursing administration or a comparable management position. (Must possess and demonstrate a high degree of leadership, organizational ability, and communication skills.)
  • Knowledge of long-term care management, policies, budgeting, personnel management, and census development is required.
