Job Summary and Qualifications

Role Summary: The Provider Relations Specialist serves as the CIN lead and subject matter expert for Mission Health Partners and manages physician networks by developing and maintaining relationships to drive business results across western North Carolina. Using a balanced combination of customer service, project management, sales, leadership and training skills, this role serves as the CIN lead to coordinate, recruit, train, and support providers across the MHP CIN network. The role requires working closely with providers within an ecosystem of healthcare facilities and systems, and Independent practices, including provider office personnel, clinical teams, facility leaders, payors and vendors. Responsibilities include recruiting, managing, communicating and training primary care and specialty physician practices, facilities and other MPH provider types to grow MHP attributed covered lives, clinically integrated network performance and revenue. Assists in creation and delivery of weekly, monthly, and quarterly CIN communications and training for all practices and participating health systems. Additionally, this position provides introductions, service and education to network physicians/ providers across all lines, acts as a liaison between providers and data analytics and point of service vendor staff, and helps achieve network goals by supporting implementation of the network Quality Improvement Program particularly related to Provider Engagement goals.

What qualifications you will need:
  • Required Education: Bachelor’s degree 1 year directly related experience, Associate’s degree 3 years directly related experience OR 5 years directly related experience.
  • Required Experience: Minimum one year, three years, or five years’ experience in practice management or other provider advanced sales or support, as commensurate with education, as outlined above. Must demonstrate excellent problem-solving skills and excellent oral and written communication skills. Must be organized and have excellent time management capabilities. Must also demonstrate the ability to analyze data to identify trends and variance from goals.
  • Preferred Experience: Healthcare, provider or HMO/PPO background.
