Job Summary:
Mission Community Hospital is seeking a Full Time LVN for our Emergency Department (ED). As an integral member of the healthcare team, the LVN ED will be responsible for providing quality patient care and assisting with daily operations in the emergency department. This is a full time position located in Panorama City, California. The LVN ED will report to the ED Nurse Manager and work collaboratively with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare staff.

Responsibilities:
- Provide direct patient care in the emergency department, including performing basic nursing procedures such as vital signs, wound care, and medication administration.
- Assist physicians and nurses in performing procedures and examinations, and communicate any changes in patient condition.
- Document all patient interactions and care provided accurately and timely.
- Assist with triaging patients, including obtaining and recording vital signs and chief complaints.
- Collaborate with other healthcare team members to ensure timely and appropriate care for patients.
- Keep emergency department area clean and stocked with necessary supplies.
- Participate in ongoing performance improvement initiatives to enhance patient care.
- Adhere to all hospital policies and procedures, as well as safe patient care practices.
- Maintain competence through self-directed learning and participation in educational opportunities.
Requirements:
- Valid LVN license to practice in the state of California
- Minimum of 1 year experience in an emergency department or acute care setting
- BLS certification
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team setting
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
- Knowledge of electronic medical records system preferred
