Miss Hall’s School seeks a part-time Horizons Greenhouse Teacher for the 24-25 academic year. The Greenhouse Teacher teaches the students basic horticulture skills while fostering an understanding of the operations and goals of the Greenhouse. As a member of the Horizons Department, this position will teach Wednesday mornings from 8:30-12:00 pm and deliver the year-long 9th-grade Greenhouse Project curriculum, culminating in the annual Plant Sale. This position reports to the Director of Horizons and works in collaboration with the Ceramics Teacher as well as other academic departments and colleagues.
We desire a collaborative, inspiring, and innovative teacher who advocates for the students and mission of MHS. In addition to the continuing curriculum that is in place, there is room to develop new projects and workshops in support of expanded learning centered on horticulture and land use, and in alignment with the goals of the overall Horizons program. The successful candidate will be a dynamic presence with high regard and understanding of innovative school settings and girl-centered education.
