Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Apartment Maintenance Supervisor who brings a strong background in general contracting to oversee the maintenance and repair operations of our residential properties. This role requires a dynamic individual who can not only handle the day-to-day maintenance tasks but also manage larger renovation projects and improvements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise and schedule daily maintenance activities for residential units and common areas.
• Conduct regular inspections of properties to ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
• Manage a team of maintenance technicians, providing training and support as needed.
• Coordinate with contractors and oversee major renovation projects, ensuring work is completed on time and within budget.
• Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs.
• Manage maintenance inventory and procurement of supplies.
• Respond to emergency maintenance requests promptly.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance work performed and costs incurred.
• Communicate effectively with tenants, addressing their maintenance concerns professionally.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Maintenance Supervisor or similar role, ideally in an apartment setting.
• Strong knowledge base in general contracting, including electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and HVAC systems.
• Excellent leadership and team management skills.
• Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously with a focus on details.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., HVAC certification, contractor’s license) are a plus.

Education:

• High school diploma or equivalent; further training in construction, building maintenance or a related field is preferred.

Experience:

• Minimum of 3 years in maintenance supervision with hands-on experience in general contracting or a related industry.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.00 - $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 – 50 per week
