Responsibilities:
- Provide care and support for animals in the kennel facility
- Feed, water, and exercise animals according to their specific needs
- Clean and maintain kennel areas, including runs and play area
- Monitor the health and behavior of animals and report any concerns to owner(s)
- Assist with administering oral medications
- Handle animals safely and securely during kennel activities
- Maintain accurate records of animal care, including feeding schedules, medications, and behavior observations
Requirements:
- Previous experience in pet care or animal handling is preferred
- Ability to lift heavy objects (up to 80 pounds) and perform physical tasks such as bending, stooping, and kneeling
- Knowledge of basic kennel procedures and terminology is a plus
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately
- Flexibility to work weekends, evenings, and holidays as needed
