Together, we are on a journey where chasing greatness is constant and breaking new grounds is a norm.Position Summary/Objective The Lynx Community Impact Manager will play a lead role in developing, implementing, and evaluating community programs and events related to the Minnesota Lynx Community Impact initiatives. These responsibilities include WNBA-sponsored programs and player-related community engagement activities. In addition, this role is responsible for managing Lynx program budgets, tracking charitable giving, digital communication, Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion initiatives, and storytelling, and Lynx game night support. What would you do?Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals to perform these essential functions: Support the Director of Community Impact to plan, implement, and evaluate all Lynx Community Impact programmingOversee the day-to-day implementation of a wide range of community programs and league initiatives including Her Time to Play clinics and player-specific community initiatives. Responsible for the Charitable giving tracking, management, and fulfillment Manage WNBA League communication and facilitation of any player awards and recognitionsManage, track, and support Lynx player appearances Assist in the Fastbreak Foundation fundraising, grant programs, and board of directors Lead and develop Lynx Community Impact storytelling and communication strategies that generate awareness and tell our impact story Manage the Lynx Community program budget Oversee the department CRM reporting and tracking Work cross-functionality to ensure alignment on Community Impact goals and programming Support and assist in the implementation and execution of audience platforms and initiatives to help build healthier relationships with diverse audiences Continue to brainstorm and seek new community impact programming and partners to help identify new areas of impactEstablish, build, and maintain relationships with non-profit partners, community and corporate leaders Support members of the Community Impact team and Timberwolves initiatives as neededPerform other duties as assigned This job description is not crafted to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job. Duties, responsibilities, and activities may change at any time. Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Other:3 years of relevant experience in community and social impact programmingWork in professional, minor league or collegiate sports is preferredExperience in fundraising and donor managementEnjoys working in a team environment but can also work independently to get projects completedPassion for Sports and women’s basketball Strong written and verbal communication skills required.Computer skills required: experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) is preferred.Able to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays.Strong team player with the ability to work well on a team and independently.Ability to develop strong working relationships with other staff members, coaches and players.Experience: ​ Minimum three (3) years working in social responsibility, community engagement, fundraising, program planning, marketing or other related experience.Supervisory Responsibility, if any: ​ This position does have supervisory responsibilityTravel: Position may require travel. Additional information: COVID-19 Vaccination PolicyProof of completed COVID-19 vaccination and booster will be required prior to your start date. Work EnvironmentThis job operates in a professional office environment. In addition to working office hours staff may be required to work Timberwolves and Lynx games as well as external events including but not limited to: charity and networking events. Work is both sedentary and active in nature. The working environment is generally favorable, and office lighting and temperature are adequate. Work is generally performed within an office environment with standard office equipment available. This job also operates in a sports arena, which includes bleachers/steps as well as moderate noise levels. Physical DemandsWork is generally sedentary in nature. The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to communicate and exchange information with others both in person and over the telephone. The employee frequently is required to remain in a stationary position, as well as operate computers and other office equipment. Staff will occasionally ascend and descend bleachers/steps and traverse around the arena both on event days and non-event days.
