Job Description:
The Director/Registrar provides strategic leadership for the administrative and operational activities of a comprehensive Registration and Academic Records Office. Setting the vision for a forward-thinking office, the Director leads a committed staff fostering a culture of innovation and student-first service. Reporting to the Vice President for Student Success, Analytics and Integrated Planning, the Director oversees a broad portfolio of functions including student registration and enrollment verification; transcription of credit and degree conferment; curriculum and course record management; academic athletic eligibility certification; Veteran enrollment verification; and student academic record administration.
Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelors Degree (conferred on an official transcript at the time of application) and a minimum of seven (7) years of professional-level experience in registration and academic records functions and services.
OR
  • Masters Degree (conferred on an official transcript at the time of application) and a minimum of five (5) years of professional-level experience in registration and academic records functions and services.

  • Demonstrated experience using complex student information systems and/or relational databases to perform job functions.
  • Demonstrated experience working collaboratively with multiple constituents and administrative or academic offices.
  • Demonstrated excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills.
Other Requirements:
Work safely at all times, which includes but is not limited to, participating and completing all required safety trainings, as well as performing all job tasks in accordance with Minnesota State University, Mankato policies and procedures utilizing appropriate tools, equipment and personal protective equipment.
Based on the essential functions of this positions, MMB Policy #1422, and University policies relating to flexible work, this position is eligible for the following work modes:
  • Case by Case/Situational Telework: A position that may include a temporary reassignment or work outside the permanent/principal work location to meet short-term needs. Up to 25% of the time.
