Minnesota City Jobs is Hiring a Police Officer Recruit Near Hopkins, MN
The Hopkins Police Department is accepting applications and resume (required) for the position of police officer recruit. Applicants must currently have a two or four year degree from a regional accredited college or university in any area of study. All tuition, books, uniforms and equipment will be paid for.
Selected candidates will attend school full time from October 2024 through March 2025 at Hennepin Technical College in Brooklyn Park. At the completion of the law enforcement curriculum candidates will be eligible to take the Minnesota Peace Officer Standards and Training licensing exam. Upon successful completion of the licensing exam candidates will be promoted to the position of sworn police officer with the City of Hopkins. The 2025 entry level police officer pay rate is $42.09/hour per contract.
