The Columbia Heights Police Department is looking for candidates with a two-year or four-year degree in another discipline who are interested in moving to a career in Law Enforcement. You will be paid to go to school, and the cost of school is covered as well.
Who is eligible: You need to possess a two or four-year degree from a regionally accredited college or university. Additionally, you must be able to meet the MN POST Board standards for Police Officer licensure.
When: The Law Enforcement certificate program starts in October 2024 with completion in March 2025. Candidates attend classes full-time (40 hours a week) and will be hired as a Police Officer at the end of the program.
Compensation: Candidates hired earn $25.73 /hour plus benefits. The program tuition, materials and supplies are covered by this program.
