General Duties:
This maintenance position performs mechanical repair work on city equipment and vehicles, inspects commercial vehicles, and provides training for new City of Winona CDL drivers. This position is the higher of two mechanic positions.
Minimum Requirements
o High school diploma
o Four (4) years medium/heavy truck equipment repair, or related experience.
o Have or be willing to obtain ASE Certified Master Medium/Heavy Technician within one year from date of hire.
o Have or be willing to obtain class A commercial driver’s license with tanker and air break endorsements within six months from date of hire.
o Have or be willing to obtain Minnesota State Patrol Commercial Vehicle Inspectors License within six months from date of hire.
o Be willing to obtain certificate to become a Certified Instructor for City of Winona Entry Level Commercial Driver’s License Program within two years from date of hire.
