The Child Protection division of Human Services Public Health in Health and Human Services is seeking to fill multiple Child Protection Social Worker vacancies. Each individual vacancy will have specialized duties and responsibilities depending on the area of assignment: Investigations, Case Management, and Indian Child Welfare Act (ICWA) Investigations or Case Management.
The new Child Protection Social Workers will participate in the induction training on Hennepin County's policies, procedures, and practices as well as mandated Department of Human Services training. This will include in-person and virtual instructor-led training, court room training, job shadowing other Child Protection Social Workers on a rotational basis, and close supervision while receiving initial case assignments.
In-person interviews will be held for local candidates during a hiring fair on May 17th. For those who are out of the area, virtual interviews will be available on May 17th as well.
