Join the team at the beautiful Furniture and Things Community Event Center! The City of Elk River is seeking candidates for Assistant Manager who will be responsible for customer service, security, sponsorship solicitation, programing events, and supervision of the entire facility during events as assigned. Exempt position, generally, work hours will be M-F 8-5, and every 3rd weekend 8-5.
Requirements: Two years post-secondary education in hospitality, recreation management, or related field; two years of work experience in hospitality, recreation, or a recreation facility; one year of supervisory experience; valid driver’s license and good driving record; basic understanding of Microsoft Office; basic understanding of recreation software or the ability to learn within the first three months of employment; and a current CPR/AED certification or ability to obtain within first six months of employment.
Preference will be given to candidates with Bachelor’s degree in hospitality, recreation, or related field.
