Minnesota Alliance With Youth is looking for our next cohort of passionate and dedicated individuals to serve as AmeriCorps Groundwork Fellows. This is an exciting opportunity for someone committed to making a lasting impact on communities by addressing education-related challenges. As a Groundwork Fellow member, you will play a crucial role in building capacity, fostering sustainable solutions, and creating lasting change.
AmeriCorps Groundwork Fellows serve at nonprofits, schools, and government agencies. This position is placed at St. Louis Park Public Schools. Their mission is to see, inspire, and empower each learner to live their brilliance in an environment that centers student voices and experiences to create racially equitable learning that energizes and enhances the spirit of our community.Their vision at St. Louis Park Public Schools is to foster an environment where students are seen and valued and become their best selves as racially conscious, globally minded contributors to society.

They now recognize the need to reach beyond their comfort zone. There are children who do not have access to services or an understanding of how MACMH can help them navigate mental health. They are committed to making themselves available to new and underserved communities throughout Minnesota.

Groundwork Fellow Duties:
The volunteer program for St. Louis Park Public Schools is housed under St. Louis Park Community Education at Lenox Community Center. The volunteer program is essential for community members and families looking to engage with students, teachers, and staff in the district. The Groundwork Fellow serving in this role will help with community outreach, application and background check support, training and onboarding, volunteer/teacher coordination, assessment and reporting, tracking participation, marketing, and capacity building for the program. The volunteer program helps facilitate meaningful connections and quality interactions between community members and the school sites.
