The Minneapolis Clinic of Neurology (MCN) seeks a full-time Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to join our busy outpatient neurology practice located in Edina, MN. This is an excellent opportunity for an entry-level APP or someone with experience who has a strong interest in learning neurology. You will be supported by our expert neurologists and APPs who provide mentoring and guidance to develop you as a neurology provider, eventually practicing independently and managing your own panel of patients.

As part of a comprehensive team of providers, this position provides services to general neurology patients, collaborating with our neurologists, other APPs, rehabilitation services and neuropsychology. Responsibilities are to perform the physical exam (new consults and follow-ups), coordinate patient care, order diagnostic tests, manage prescriptions and provide patient/family education. This position's schedule is Monday - Friday daytime hours with no call or weekends. This position may be four or five days per week depending upon candidate preference.

Position Requirements

Master's degree from Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner program with certification and current license required. Experience with neurology, cardiology, internal or pulmonary medicine experience desired. We are open to individuals with experience as well as newer graduates who have a strong interest in learning neurology. Candidates must possess excellent clinical skills and be able to function with a high level of autonomy. Must also be self-motivated and detail-oriented; and possess excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills. Proficiency with electronic health record required, Epic preferred.

APPs provide an important and valuable service to our patients, with some practicing general neurology and others aligned with specific subspecialties, depending upon the practice of the supervising physician.
