Mindwell Behavioral Health is Hiring a Medical Receptionist Near Trenton, NJ

MindWell Behavioral Health is seeking a part-time fluent in English Receptionist (8-12 hours weekly or more),

All day Saturday annd some weekdays hours at our Ewing, NJ office. There is a good possibility that hours will be increased.

MindWell Behavioral Health is a fast-paced outpatient mental health office where you will be supported by a dynamic and fun team.

The receptionist is often the first contact a patient has in the office; therefore, the receptionist should be friendly,

professional, and attentive to the clients.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Conducting client in-takes
  • Accurately enters/updates patient information in the system
  • Assist clients with completion of paperwork when necessary
  • Scanning, updating, and filing medical records
  • Answering phone calls, questions, etc. in a prompt and polite manner
  • Processing medical insurance information, verifying patient eligibility, and addressing any patient questions about insurance
  • Handling cash and co-payments accurately and responsibly
  • Providing outstanding customer service to every client
  • Informing therapists of waiting room wait times, client inquiries, etc
  • Performs all duties assigned by management

REQUIREMENTS:

  • High School diploma or equivalent required
  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience, preferably in a clinic/healthcare setting
  • Computer proficiency is required and database/electronic health record experience preferred
  • Meticulous attention to detail results oriented, and strong organizational skills
  • Pleasant, welcoming demeanor; enjoys interacting with colleagues and community
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work independently and seamlessly as part of a team, demonstrating flexibility, adaptability, and creativity
  • Some medical terminology necessary for this position
  • Dedication to maintaining confidentiality

Job Types: Contract, Per diem

Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour

Healthcare setting:

  • Afternoon shift
  • Evening shift
  • Rotating weekends

Experience:

  • Customer service: 1 year (Preferred)
  • Medical terminology: 1 year (Preferred)
