Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Medical Assistant/Receptionist to join our healthcare team. The Medical Assistant will work closely with healthcare professionals to provide exceptional patient care and support. Responsibilities:
- Perform medical administrative support tasks, including scheduling appointments, managing patient records, and coordinating referrals
- Obtain and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse if needed
- Ensure the cleanliness and organization of examination rooms and medical equipment
- Maintain accurate documentation of patient information, medical histories, and test results, able to do prior auth for meds
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to deliver high-quality patient care
Skills:
- Proficient in medical terminology and understanding of anatomy
- Knowledge of basic life support techniques
- Ability to accurately measure and record vital signs
- Strong interpersonal skills for effective patient communication and service
- Excellent organizational skills to manage administrative tasks efficiently
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completion of a Medical Assistant program or certification preferred but not required
- Previous experience in a healthcare setting is a plus
