Job Description

The Zero Trust Architecture (ZTA) Engineer supports multiple federal and commercial customers in short and long duration engagements.

The engineer will:

• Consult with potential, new, and current customers on zero trust architecture approaches and impacts for business needs.
• Recommend technologies and integrations to meet customer needs for new requirements or modernization of existing systems.
• Perform zero trust security readiness assessments, gap analyses, and maturity assessments.
• Develop zero trust implementation roadmaps and support strategy development.
• Support cloud adoption strategy and roadmap development with respect to zero trust architecture requirements.
• Design and implement technical zero trust security solutions.
• Assess, design, test, and implement application programming interface (API) gateways for zero trust architectures.

Qualifications

What skills do you need?

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, cybersecurity, or a closely related discipline or equivalent experience; technical master’s degree preferred.
• Minimum of six (6) years of Zero Trust Architecture related/relevant experience, with additional background in enterprise architecture (EA), systems engineering, or related fields.
• Familiarity with Zero Trust design pillars: Identity, devices, networks, applications, API, data, infrastructure.
• Knowledge of US security requirements related to regulations/standards such as NIST SP 800-171, 800-53, RMF, ISO 27001, SOX, etc.

What is ideal?

• Related certifications such as CISSP, cloud architect for AWS, Azure, or Google, Forrester Zero Trust Strategy highly desired
• Experience with Zscaler solutions.
• Experience with Crowdstrike solutions.
• Experience with SIEM products and technologies.
• Experience working with Identity, Credential, and Access Management (ICAM) solutions.
• Experience with SD-WAN, SOAR, microservices, containers, edge computing, and related technologies.

• Compensation is unique to each candidate and relative to the skills and experience they bring to the position. The salary range for this position is typically $145-160k. This does not guarantee a specific salary as compensation is based upon multiple factors such as education, experience, certifications, and other requirements, and may fall outside of the above-stated range.
