Mindpath Health is Hiring a Remote Patient Account Team Lead

About the Role
The demand for treatment for behavioral health issues continues to increase across the US. As a result, Mindpath Health is experiencing tremendous growth and expansion and is on target to become a leader in outpatient behavioral health services that blend human connection with science-based care.

We are looking for a Patient Account Team Lead (Remote) to work alongside the Patient Account Supervisor to provide training and support for the Payment posters, Collections, and Data Entry, Coordinates with internal teams and serves as a contact for external customers. Ensures that patient business services activities maintain compliance with Company Standards; State and Federal laws, rules, and regulations; and client contracts.

The Responsibilities

  • Provide training to new team members
    • Assist in the development and maintenance of Training Binders
    • Provide regular updates to the Manager on employee progress
    • Maintain training logs and checklists
    • Provide additional training as necessitated by new software, procedures, or staff needs
  • Monitor 8x8 phone system logs and coordinat additionnel converge as needed.
  • Handle unresolved inquiries/issues with highest level of customer service
  • Oversee Bad Debt process, which includes running monthly reports and pre-listing patient to Bad Debt. Sending Bad Debt collections files to third party collection agency and monitoring closed and return accounts
  • Responsible for generating and monitoring patient statements weekly
  • Provide support to Patient Account Supervisor
  • Responsible for other duties as assigned by Leadership.
  • Assign and coordinate workload, based on management’s direction, to ensure the achievement of performance targets. Daily, Weekly, Monthly and Yearly.
    • Assist with monitoring and recording production numbers and quality report outcomes
  • Escalated involvement on problem or difficulty cases and patient complaints.
  • Provide information to and answer questions from team members within 24 hours or 1 business day

The Qualifications

  • High School degree or equivalent.
  • Minimum of one year of demonstrated customer service skills (within a healthcare setting preferred).
  • Experience with electronic health records; preferably NextGen.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills and ability to build and facilitate good working relationships with staff at all levels of organization.
  • Demonstrated ability exercising sound judgment and discretion when handling sensitive and confidential information.
  • Ability to work independently, under pressure and within deadlines
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to prioritize and multitask.
  • Must be able to maintain strict confidentiality of all personal/health sensitive information.
