Job Description : Data Modeler
Primary Responsibilities :
Model documentation and recommendations
Communicate with key stakeholders to facilitate discussions about data modeling
Develop DDLs for physical implementation and views
Data mapping and data discovery
Analyze source system data using profiling tools
Translates and transforms business requirements into data models (conceptual, logical and physical)
Synchronize models with physical implementations
Adhere to existing naming and design standards as well as recommend new standards
Design data models in data modeling tools (e.g. ERWin)
Produce data model documentation using leading modeling tools at various levels including story, subject area, and full data model
Work
Work proactively and independently to address project requirements and articulate issues / challenges to reduce project delivery risks
Work with business and application / solution teams to implement data strategies, build data flows, and develop conceptual / logical / physical data models
Lead and / or participate in data model reviews with various stakeholders
Evaluates database and data and develops the data model appropriately
Requirements :
Minimum of 1 year experience in modeling in an analytical environment
Minimum of 5 years of experience with Logical Design demonstrated with large scale, multiple business solutions across divisions or enterprise
Minimum of 5 years prior experience as a data analyst and data modeler
Document target state end-end data flows and representations
Ability to create and maintain conceptual data models, high complexity logical and physical data models
Experience with SQL
Bachelor s degree in information science, computer science, engineering, or related discipline
Experience in Agile Frameworks (SAFe)
Experience with WrWin, Hackoldae, or ER / Studio
Strong analytical skills
Ability to translate business requirements to technical requirements
Financial Services experience a plus
Comfortable working in ambiguity
Experience as Data Modeler on OLTP relational and data warehouse projects
Understanding of emerging technologies, and their associated impact on enterprise environments
Must sit in Plano, TX hybrid (Mon & Fri remote / Tue-Thu onsite)
Possibility to extend
hour true maximum bill rate
