Mind Health Group - LSV is Hiring a Patient Access Coordinator Near Oak Park, MI

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our Business Development team as a Patient Access Coordinator!

As the Patient Access Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in ensuring efficient and effective lead management, patient registration, and scheduling processes. This role serves as a primary point of contact for individuals inquiring about services, demonstrating empathy, professionalism, and a patient-centered approach; nurturing potential patients through the process from initial inquiry to the scheduling of appointments, providing a seamless and supportive experience for individuals seeking care at our facility.

Responsibilities:

  • Nurture leads through personalized communication, addressing questions and concerns, and providing information about our services and care options; providing external referrals as necessary.
  • Promptly manage and follow up on direct referrals via fax, phone calls, and email, website submissions, and other online platforms, with the goal of converting inquiries into scheduled appointments.
  • Maintain detailed records of interactions and status updates in an EHR or CRM system.
  • Coordinate closely with clinical and administrative staff to ensure potential patients are matched with the appropriate services and providers.
  • Collaborate with various departments to improve patient access, reduce wait times, and enhance the overall patient experience.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma required; associate or bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred
  • Previous experience as a receptionist, medical administrative support, marketing and sales support or similar role preferred
  • Strong administrative skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook), Electronic Health Record (EHR) and Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems
  • Familiarity with electronic medical record systems, such as eClinicalWorks or similar platforms
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Knowledge of medical scheduling systems and phone systems
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record keeping
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive patient information

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.67 - $19.80 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
