POSITION SUMMARY:
The Maintenance Technician will provide support for some or all areas of facilities maintenance and manufacturing. Provide direction, guidance and leadership to team to ensure timely completion of tasks and meeting of company expectations. Develop effective and efficient work schedules to meet daily production needs based on strengths and availability of team. Work to resolve identified errors and deviations, review documentation, and maintain applicable equipment records. Help manage the handling of processing records, records retention, and off-site storage, equipment maintenance records, etc. Ensure company-wide compliance with all policies, procedures, processes, and quality systems.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Perform preventative maintenance and general repair/service, maintain facilities, move office furniture and equipment, setup cubicles, drive forklift, build equipment, trouble shoot and repair equipment
- Maintain written documentation of maintenance and repairs in accordance with Quality System requirements
- Maintain inventory of MRO parts...utilizing MRP system
- Communicate issues in a timely fashion
- Take initiative to correct issues
- Database entry for tracking Preventive Maintenance and setup Database entries for new equipment
- Provide input for equipment purchases
- Coordinate with outside vendors for repair/maintenance/installation of equipment
- Interface with operations and engineering groups to implement projects
- Demonstrates a desire to continuously improve and learn new skill
- Perform other duties as assigned
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
- HS Diploma or equivalent
- 1 - 2 years of experience performing general maintenance in a commercial or industrial environment. Proficient use of hand tools, saws, drills
- Have basic knowledge of electrical systems
- Possess a valid GA Driver's License and have own vehicle for travel between office locations
- Previous experience in a Good Manufacturing Practices work environment
- Troubleshooting operations equipment
- Use of diagnostic equipment (digital volt meter, etc.)
SKILLS/COMPETENCIES:
- Minor electrical work with lighting fixtures and replacing light bulbs, ballasts, switches, etc.
- Minor plumbing work, installing, repairing of fixtures, etc.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Ability to lift 20 - 50 lbs regularly, climb stairs and ladders, and work indoors or outdoors in hot or cold temperatures.
