Your Role on Our Team: The DC Clerk II is responsible for performing all transportation, administrative tasks, to support daily business operations for THD. This includes responding to phone calls, emails, interacting with internal/external customers, and exporting and importing data. You’ll be DISRUPTIVE through these duties and responsibilities: • Facilitates communication between The Home Depot, carrier partners, and distribution centers daily via email and phone regarding all pending and future loads. • Extracts daily transportation data from Supplier Hubb, Manhattan System, and imports into Warehouse Management System to provide operations with visibility of shipments and priority shipping schedule. • Provide internal and external customers with proof of shipping documents as requested in a timely manner. • Schedules large volume of shipments appointments with carriers daily. • Accurately maintains and inputs data into computer system such as: appointment time, driver arrival, departure, shipment releases, trailer #, new arrival time, etc. • Reconciles all shipping documentation (BOL’s,) and guarantees all documents are properly signed and dated prior to releasing drivers. • Creates labels and completes all shipping documentation for TL and INT shipments. • Troubleshoot issues arising in shipping or inventory handling to complete paperwork or invoice loads. • Organizes files and scans all shipping documentation • Communicates with other departments and buildings regarding outbound/Inbound shipments. • Responsible for overall organization and cleaning of area The TOOLS you’ll bring with you: • High School or GED diploma required • Minimum of 1 year of customer service experience • Minimum of 1 year of transportation/distribution/warehouse knowledge and experience • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (MS Excel required) • Strong interpersonal and communication skills • Good analytical and problem-solving skills • Able to work independently • Detail oriented, multitasking skills, and team orientated Other TOOLS we prefer you to have: Working Conditions: Manufacturing Plant • Sitting for long periods of time • Repetitive motion • Able to work in various temperature conditions • May be in a general office environment • May need to travel to different buildings in the area as needed Milwaukee Tool, founded in 1924, is a global leader in delivering innovative solutions to the professional construction trades that increase productivity and safety.
