MILWAUKEE BREWERS is Hiring a Copywriter Near Milwaukee, WI

Job Description

The Copywriter supports the marketing team as a creative writer. Contributes to a wide variety of marketing projects, including digital content, digital advertising, traditional advertising, long form blog content, and industry research. Provides expertise on brand voice and building brand personality in sports marketing.

Core duties for this role include, but are not limited to:

  • Write copy for digital and traditional marketing assets, including TV & radio ads, emails, digital ads, flyers, social media posts, and more.
  • Work with creative and video teams to brainstorm messaging and creative direction for advertising campaigns and projects.
  • Regularly write feature stories and blog posts for Brewers Breakdown, the team blog on brewers.com.
  • Help maintain the Brewers Breakdown editorial calendar, including ideation, planning, and execution for different content pieces.
  • Assist with content creation and ideation for platforms such as YouTube, TikTok, team podcast, email newsletter, Instagram, Twitter, and Facebook.
  • Contribute to biweekly editorial newsletter (What’s Brewing), including brainstorming content and writing email copy.
  • Monitor social media posts/comments/replies, etc. on a regular basis to understand consumer feedback, complaints and issues, coordinating closely with other departments, as needed, to address and resolve issues in a professional and timely manner.

The ideal candidate will have a bachelor’s degree and a minimum of one to three years related marketing or advertising experience, as well as the ability to write and edit clearly and informatively. Must have a strong working knowledge of baseball, including rules, scoring and jargon.
