KPMG is currently seeking an Associate to join our Federal Advisory practice. Responsibilities: * Provide support in financial management processes, capabilities, systems, tools, and applications within the areas of budget planning, execution, and reporting
* Document procedures and client management decisions in formal narratives
* Develop and sustain solid relationships with client and identify opportunities to provide additional services
* Investigate accounting issues, accounting methodologies, and effects on the financial statements
* Support engagements by generating reports, performing reconciliations, and requested information from auditors
* Identify reconciliation issues related to posting logic, USSGL compliance, and A-136
* Research Federal standards, policies, regulations and technical guidance
Qualifications: * A minimum of one year of federal financial management experience * Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university
* Experience in the preparation, review, and/or analysis of financial statements for U.S. Federal government entities; working knowledge of the USSGL preferred
* Experience analyzing financial and systems processes and controls
* Ability to travel as required to support firm engagements
* U.S. citizenship required and an active U.S. Federal government TS/SCI Poly security clearance
