Milton Elementary School seeks a qualified Assistant Principal candidate. The district is looking for an educational leader who can work with the district leadership team, staff, students, and families to develop appropriate programs to meet student needs. Primary Duties and Responsibilities:Collaborate with the district’s leadership team to ensure ongoing improvement of the learning environment at Milton Elementary School.Collaborate with the leadership team to establish aligned goals across the school district focused on improved student learning outcomes.Lead the continuous improvement of a school-wide social and emotional learning (SEL) approach that is community-building, trauma-informed, restorative, and integrated with everyday learning.Communicate expectations for rules and procedures.Annually review and revise the student handbook for school board approval.Develop and communicate master schedules, duty schedules, and school happenings.Revise Emergency Operations Plans and procedures annually for school board approval.Lead the consistent implementation of consequences, interventions, and restorative practices to promote a safe and caring school environment.Include families as partners in designing and implementing student interventions, consequences, and supports.Include staff as partners in designing and implementing interventions, consequences, and student support.Lead to ensure the Multi-Tiered System of Support (MTSS) at Milton Elementary School is consistently utilized for social-emotional learning.Consistently apply and implement School Board policies, NH Administrative Rules, and state and federal regulation laws.Monitor student attendance and use the MTSS process to provide support. SupervisionWorks under the supervision of the Milton Elementary School Principal. Minimum QualificationsA Master’s degree or higher in Educational Leadership/Administration is preferred. NH certification or a Statement of Eligibility as a Principal or Assistant Principal is required.School Leadership experience, including experience supervising academic programs and staff, is strongly preferred.Demonstrated ability to work with and effectively communicate with staff and families.
