The Position: General Manager

The ideal candidate we are looking for is a Military Veteran with 2-10 years of leadership experience in construction, field services, or related fields. We value the skills and qualities that Veterans bring to the table, such as discipline, teamwork, adaptability, and problem-solving abilities.

Compensation: : $100 - $150K annual task-related performance bonus
Location: Greater Charlotte, NC area
Responsibilities:- Responsible for overall location performance including daily operations
- In charge of the overall facility readiness including equipment care, fleet maintenance, and material inventory
- Ensuring all licensing, health and safety, and location-specific permitting are up to date
- On-the-spot disciplinary needs and fast, and accurate decision-making based on data
- Responsible for schedule integration, deconfliction, and execution
- Accountable for monthly operating expenses and job costing associated with their location
- Monthly departmental KPI reporting and work-in-process calculation
- Proactive management of invoicing, AR, AP, estimating and/or purchasing
- Hiring and firing of personnel
Requirements:- Comfortable in an outdoor, field services environment and also able to manage business unit-level financial performance
- Strong preference for a Military Veteran
- Ability to lead a small collaborative team, focusing on the continuous development and growth of the capabilities and performance of team members
- Collaborative, self-starter who takes initiative to proactively identify opportunities and implement solutions
- Results-oriented with an ability to develop and implement innovative solutions that address the root cause of issues
Preferred Qualifications:- Experienced, people-focused leader
- Two-six (or 2-6) years of experience in either construction management or field services
- Environmental or environmental drilling experience preferred but not required
- Strong organizational and project management skills, with exceptional attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience presenting to a variety of audiences at all levels, including executives, clients, and field staff
- Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills, including the ability to lead through influence and work with counterparts across the organization
