The LVN/LPN performs under the direction of a Registered Nurse in providing nursing care to assigned patients, utilizing basic understanding of psychiatric and personality disorders. The LVN/LPN will rove or float to each Excel Centers, as needed.

Graduate from a Vocational School of Nursing Accredited by the State Board of Nursing.

Minimum one (1) year as a /LVN in psychiatric nursing preferred, Licensure: Licensed to practice Vocational nursing from the State Board of Nursing or Psychiatric Technicians.

Must pass a medication administration exam before administering medications.

CPR certification and successful completion of Management of Assaultive Behavior (CPI) including restraint and seclusion policies before on the unit orientation and prior to assisting in restraining procedures.
