Job Title : Industrial and Facility Maintenance Supervisor

Job Summary : This position is located at the Milliken New Holland Plant located in Gainesville, GA and reports to the location’s Engineering Services Manager.

This supervisor would assist in managing daily operations of the engineering services department in a modern textile plant, including electrical maintenance, facility maintenance, boilers, chillers, air compressors and other auxiliary equipment.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Supervision, direction and development of engineering services electricians and technicians.
  • Maintain department safety procedures, guarding, safety devices and implement safety improvement projects. Maintain compliance with OSHA and plant standards.
  • Ensure optimal performance of all mechanical and electrical equipment to include continuous improvement, downtime reduction, energy consumption reduction, measurement, environmental impact :
  • digital drive, PLC, and process control systems
  • plant computer systems and networks
  • electrical power distribution and systems
  • motor, gearbox, belt and pulley mechanical power transfer
  • compressed air generation and transfer
  • steam generation and transfer
  • Create standard process instructions
  • Maintain appropriate performance reports (building, production, environmental)
  • Establish collaborative internal and external relationships :
  • engineering services team members
  • plant departments
  • outside contractors and vendors
  • Understand and effectively participate in the plant safety process
  • Assist the Engineering Services Manager in training, developing, and coaching team members :
  • Foster a working environment that promotes open communications, teamwork and individual engagement to accomplish goals and objectives
  • Ensure that work is properly allocated and completed in a timely and accurate manner
  • Ensure that written performance evaluations of associates are completed as required; provide continuous feedback on personal performance issues;

take immediate action to recognize achievements and address deficiencies or problems -Ensure safety rules are clearly understood and followed

Qualifications - Required :

5 years of manufacturing experience

  • Technical Aptitude functional knowledge of electrical systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, pumps, mechanical drive systems.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Powerpoint
  • Ability to demonstrate initiative and ownership with little supervision
  • Strong problem-solving capability
  • Ability to communicate and interact at all levels

Qualifications Preferred :

  • BS degree (mechanical or electrical engineering
  • Previous Manufacturing Experience
  • Project Management Experience
  • AutoCAD or Similar Software Experience
