Job Description: Environmental Technician
Responsibilities:
- Perform various types of fieldwork, including environmental sample collection and maintenance activities that support the site.
- Demonstrate a commitment to safe work practices
- Communicate effectively with clients and project team members
- Complete project deliverables on schedule
- Work both independently and within a team environment
Skills:
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
- Attention to detail and accuracy, with a commitment to producing high-quality deliverables.
- 2-3 years of relevant experience
- Clean driving record
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
Qualifications:
- Valid TWIC Card (must have actual card)
- Ability to pass DISA Background and drug testing to gain entry into CITGO Refinery
- Availability to work a variety of shifts when needed including nights, weekends and overtime as business needs dictate
- Ability to work in a refinery with loud, hazardous conditions, potentially hazardous chemicals and industrial settings.
- Working in various temperatures and outdoors in all
- Previous experience, preferably in refinery setting.
- Strong safety focus.
- Valid driver's license, clean MVR
- Available to travel to different sites as needed
- Physical fitness for lifting and carrying.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills.
- Adaptability in a fast-paced turnaround environment.
