We are seeking a highly motivated, organized and detail-oriented Bookkeeping and Client Accounting Services Manager to join our CPA firm in Pensacola, Florida.

About the Job

• Advanced organization and time management skills – ability to set priorities and meet deadlines with thorough communication to the team and clients
• Client interfacing through platforms such as video meetings, phone calls, and emails
• Support a portfolio of clients as their main accounting point of contact
• Manage multiple client engagements and ensure clients’ monthly financial packages are delivered timely, accurately, and well-presented
• Support preparation of tax filings related to W2s/1099s/Sales and Franchise Tax
• Review reconciliation schedules, such as prepaid expenses, fixed assets, accrued liabilities/expenses, and deferred revenue
• Collaborate with and supervise the team including delegation and review of work performed to find and correct discrepancies
• Lead and communicate with team members to resolve conflicts and make decisions aligned with clients’ priorities
• Advise, develop, and implement accounting solutions for compliance and efficiency improvement through fully understanding clients’ growth preferences, operational constraints and evolving expectations
• Proactively search for opportunities to offer additional value-additive services for clients as they scale
• Lead monthly review calls with clients to present financial results, identify trends and variances, and provide analysis
• Learn and maintain company software systems in partnership with operations and the advisor; proactively suggest improvements for efficiency and ease of use
• Maintains knowledge of acceptable accounting practices and procedures
• Performs other related duties and project work as assigned

Skills & Abilities for this Role

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required in Accounting
• 5 years of experience in corporate or general accounting and consulting
• Project management experience with accounting-based projects, and ability to deliver on-time outcomes
• Client-facing experience
• Client-relationship experience with complex client correspondence including recommendations, technical issues, and proposals
• Self-starter approach to work with experience handling and managing multiple projects
• Solid working knowledge in QuickBooks and QuickBooks Online
• QuickBooks Pro Advisor Certification preferred
• Experience with and understanding of GAAP accounting principles
• Experience and comfort utilizing cloud-based accounting software and tools like CCH Axcess, Pfx Engagement, QuickBooks, as well as Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, and Word) and aptitude to learn additional programs
• Willingness to work as part of a team to balance and share workloads and assignments
• Willingness to work extended hours and weekends during peak seasons
