• Compliance of pressure vessel design and construction with the ASME (The American Society of Mechanical Engineers) Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code Section VIII and the NBIC (National Board Inspection Code). This compliance is monitored by an Authorized Inspector during twice-monthly hydrotest inspections and formally reviewed annually and triennially.
• Creation of ASME calculations, drawings and bills of material.
• Consultation in the quoting, sales, purchasing and production processes as necessary

• Person in Responsible Charge of Design Activities (ASME designation)
• Registered Professional Engineer or Bachelor of Science in Engineering, Science or Technology
• 2 or more years of experience in pressure vessel design in a manufacturing environmen
• Certified Individual (CI) (ASME certification to obtain and maintain
• Drawing software (TurboCAD, AutoCAD, SolidWorks, etc)
• ASME Calculation software (CEI DesignCalcs, COMPRESS, etc)
• ERP software (Bizowie)
• General computer literacy
• Email communication
• ASME Section VIII, Division 1
• ASME Section IX
• ASME Section V
• ASME Section II
• National Board Inspection Code (NBIC)
• Knowledge of the following processes:
  • TIG
  • Stick
  • Semi-automatic submerged arc
  • MIG
