Die Cutter Operator - Greensboro, NC
As a Die Cutter Operator I, you'll play a vital role in our production process. Operating and performing make-readies on die cutting equipment, including Bobst 104 and 76 High Speed Die Cutters, you'll maintain running speed at required production levels while upholding quality standards and good housekeeping practices. This position offers the opportunity for growth, as you train towards becoming a Die Cutter Operator II. Your dedication to safety, quality, and on-time delivery will be essential as you work to minimize waste and maximize efficiency.
What You Will Do:
- Follow the daily die cutting schedule to determine run sequences
- Load and unload product into die cutting machines
- Operate and monitor machines for proper operation
- Inspect product visually to ensure quality standards are met
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment
- Monitor inventory and supplies, notifying managers when needed
- Adhere to all safety policies and procedures
- Set up and operate die cutters to produce finished products as scheduled
- Perform all assigned work efficiently and on schedule
- Record accurate counts and utilize sample tags
- Limit waste of materials and supplies
- Cooperate with coworkers and supervisors
- Assist in maintaining a die filing library
- Diagnose problems, make adjustments, troubleshoot, and provide maintenance and repairs to equipment
- Complete all assigned projects, paperwork, records, and documents accurately and on time
- Operate press at maximum capacity while maintaining quality and safety standards
- Record time and materials accurately in Monarch software
- Observe established safe working and housekeeping procedures
What You Will Bring:
Education:
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 5 years of die cutting experience on Bobst and Heidelberg equipment
- Experience with MIS software such as Monarch is desired
Skills & Abilities
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
- Strong attention to detail and time management skills
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Effective problem-solving and decision-making abilities
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Customer service-oriented with strong interpersonal skills
- Flexibility to work outside regular business hours as needed
- Mechanical aptitude and ability to work accurately from verbal and written instructions
