Clerical Team Leader
Millennium Physician Group is seeking to hire a full-time Clerical Team Lead in the Lake Placid, FL area. We are looking for a new team member who is positive, energetic, well-organized, has the ability to multi-task, and think outside of the box.

The office Team Leader assists the Practice Manager in keeping the office(s) running efficiently and smoothly under the leadership of the Practice Manager.
Team Leaders will accept phone calls from employees for call-outs, tardy' s or other issues relating to the employee. Adjusts timecards if needed for any errors.
May approve timecards for payroll at the PM's discretion. Team Leaders may determine effective work flows for the office and arrange staff to avoid overtime at PM's discretion.
Team Leaders may direct the work of employees, handle patient issues and determine the proper course of action to produce immediate service recovery.
Discuss with PM any employee issue and determine collectively correct course of action. Progressive Discipline and Terminations will be conducted by both Team Leader and PM and HR at PM's discretion.
Responsible for office cleanliness, neat and organized. Sets schedules for employees and adjusts staff for coverage if short.
Facilitates cross training of staff where appropriate to ensure employees can cover any areas within scope of practice. Ensures collections are collected at time of service.
Ensures phones are answered timely and handled appropriately and confirming phone calls are made at least one day prior.
Takes the office lead on Customer Service and ensures employees are going above and beyond for patients. May prepare bank deposit and take to bank at PM's discretion.
May order supplies for office at PM's discretion. Keeps PM apprised of all activities happening in the office on a consistent basis.
All other duties as assigned by PM. It is imperative Team Leader must be in constant / prompt contact with Practice Manager both by email and phone to ensure problems / issues are addressed promptly.
May also be designated facility ACO champion to participate in and support ACO initatives.
Job Standards :
Required Knowledge and Experience
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and / or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Required Skills and Abilities
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have strong computer skills and knowledge of EMR systems; Athena knowledge preferred but not required.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, climb and balance. The employee is occasionally required to sit and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
The employee must frequently lift and / or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and / or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
