As an established provider of interiors and seats, Millennium Concepts, Inc. is an FAA TSO/ETSO holder for cabin and crew seating systems and holds FAA and foreign supplemental type certificates (STC) and Parts Manufacturer Approval (PMA) authorizations.

Job Summary: Using approved specifications and drawings, builds assigned interior parts for aircraft under the direction of Production Supervisor.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

1. With minimal instruction, reviews drawings and written specifications of articles to be constructed or repaired.

2. Sets up and operates machines, including power saws, jointers, mortisers, tenoners, molders, and shapers, to cut and shape materials according to approved specifications.

3. Fabricates tooling and fixtures as required from assembly drawings with assistance from Production Supervisor.

4. Installs approved hardware, such as hinges, catches, and drawer pulls, using hand tools.

5. Ensures finished product meets released drawing specifications and company standards and surface is prepared for completion by Finisher.

6. Creates simple cut list and bill of materials (BOM).

7. Performs preventative maintenance on machines and tools used in the shop.

8. Follows OSHA regulations and requirements.

9. Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Requirements: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential function and assigned duty satisfactorily. 1. High school diploma or general education degree (GED); trade school and minimum 2 years aircraft cabinetry experience; or equivalent combination of training and experience.

2. Ability to apply basic math, including adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

3. Ability to communicate verbally in one-on-one situations with management and co-workers; listen to others without interrupting and get clarification when needed.

4. Ability to read and comprehend engineering drawings and specifications.

5. Ability to read and comprehend complex instructions and memos.

6. Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions and procedures furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

7. Ability to safely use hand tools, including planes, scrapers, drills, and clamps.

8. Ability to safely operate machine including power saws, jointers, mortisers, tenoners, molders, and shapers.

9. Ability to identify proper materials and supplies according to specifications.

10. Ability to interact in a positive and professional manner and to develop and maintain strong working relationships with co-workers and supervisor.

11. Strong attention to detail and focus on quality and accuracy.

12. Exhibits dependability, including following instructions; responding to supervisor’s direction; and taking responsibility for own actions.

13. Ability to take initiative, including asking for and offering help when needed; performs work independently without being prompted
