The Process Engineer/CNC Programmer position is responsible for developing and implementing optimal, cost-effective manufacturing processes and methods in accordance with product specifications and quality standards; works with cross-functional teams to design, develop, test, and implement improvements to current processes.

Essential Job Functions

• Concepts and develops state-of-the-art machining processes
• Designs and details work holding fixtures and gaging using 3D CAD Systems
• Creates and edits CNC Programs using CAM Systems
• Creates control plans and gaging work instructions to ensure product quality requirements are maintained
• Improves manufacturing processes and methods for cost-reduction, quality improvement, and efficiency
• Works with cross-functional teams to carry out process improvements, problem resolution, and project management
• Involved in project launches of new/revised products including establishing timelines and evaluating results
• Interprets blueprints and demonstrates an understanding of GD&T
• Reviews prints, customer specifications, and internal documents
• Assists machinists in troubleshooting 

Job Classification Requirements

• 5 years of machining experience (Hands on experience with CNC machines a plus)
• 2 years of 3D design experience (SolidWorks a plus)
• 2 years of CAM experience (CAMWorks a plus; 4-Axis/5-Axis experience a plus)
• Proficient technical skills and exhibits strong technical capacity
• Demonstrates problem solving skills and analysis
• Approachable and willing to help others
• Detail oriented and quality conscious
• Ability to multitask and perform under pressure
• Requires decision making skills
• Exhibits characteristics of a good role-model
• Reliable with excellent attendance record
