OPPORTUNITY

Mill Rock Packaging is excited to start our search for our new Stitcher Machine Operator to support our Operations Teams. This list of duties and responsibilities is not all inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties:

• Set up of equipment according to the job requirements.
• Check quality of the incoming product/job prior to starting production on the stitcher machine. Continue to monitor for quality assurance.
• Perform routine machine maintenance, cleaning, and preventative maintenance inspections of equipment.
• Identify deficiencies of equipment and notify supervisor. May assist in machine repairs.
• Provide direction and guidance to stitcher machine assistants that work with you.
• Review production progress throughout the shift to measure against daily goals.
• Has responsibility for the outcome of all projects that run on the stitcher machine. Embrace the entrepreneurial spirit!

Skills, Knowledge & Abilities

• Possess an ability to work together as a Stitcher Operator Team and embrace how your job impacts the whole team. You are the person “behind the scenes” making it happen.
• Can accept feedback and use it to grow in your position.
• Learn and pass certification requirements for relevant machines used in your position. Training and testing is done on the job.
• Must have basic computer skills or the ability to learn basic skills.
• Able to read and understand job instructions, including custom job requirements.
• Excellent endurance to stand and move about the work area all day.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Work exclusively in the production area, with light and heavy equipment where you stand and walk during your entire shift. Bending and reaching as needed. Exposed to elevated noise levels throughout work shift, hearing protection use is mandatory while in production area.

What Will Make You Stand Out

• Prior experience as a Machine Operator at a packaging or printing company.
