Tinmouth Mountain School is looking for a dynamic 5/6 grade teacher who can focus on academics as well as building with students, a sense of stewardship for the natural world. We are continuously evolving toward place-based and project based learning. Our curriculum includes kayaking, astronomy, pollinator and vegetable gardening, winter sports program, ecology institute (Saco, ME), Merck Forest,4 winds, and watershed studies, as well as math, literacy, and social studies. You will work with a supportive team that believes in child-centered hands-on leaning.
Restorative practice and responsive classroom principals guide behavior management. A sense of humor is a plus!
