Mill Creek Family Dentistry is Hiring a Dental Receptionist Near Mill Creek, WA

Description

The Receptionist will be the first face that welcomes all patients as if they are a member of the family. We are a team-oriented practice that succeeds on communication and support of one another. Excellent customer service and a positive attitude are a must for this position.

Schedule is Full Time: Mon-Thurs: 7am-5pm; Friday: 7am-12pm

Pay Range: $18-$22 per hour DOE

Duties include:

  • Welcome patients by greeting them promptly and engaging in conversation
  • Schedule and confirm appointments, answer the telephone, assist with patient questions
  • Enter and track treatment plans in the group’s computer system
  • Act as a subject matter expert on the insurance plans accepted by the group, including their limitations and exclusions
  • Collect payments from patients on any amount that may be owed, including current treatment being performed as well as past due balances; handle payments in accordance with the group’s Cash Handling Policy
  • Follow up on internal Specialty referrals to ensure treatment is scheduled and completed; ensure completed treatment is communicated back to the referring Dentist
  • Ensure every patient has a future hygiene appointment scheduled
  • Partner with clinical providers to ensure they feel supported, participate in team huddles daily, proactively monitor the flow of the office
  • Address patient complaints in a timely and compassionate manner, transition escalated patients to management as appropriate

Requirements

  • At least 6 months of dental front office experience required
  • Experience utilizing a dental/healthcare practice management system(s), Open Dental preferred
  • Professional conduct and appearance
