Job Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Barista to join our team. As a Barista, you will be responsible for preparing and serving a variety of coffee-based beverages to our customers. The ideal candidate will have excellent customer service skills, be knowledgeable about coffee, and have experience working in a fast-paced food service environment.

Responsibilities:

- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee-based beverages, including espresso, cappuccinos, and lattes

- Take customer orders and accurately input them into the POS system

- Operate coffee brewing equipment and maintain cleanliness and functionality

- Provide exceptional customer service by greeting customers, answering questions, and making recommendations

- Maintain a clean and organized work area, including restocking supplies as needed

- Follow all food safety guidelines and ensure proper handling and storage of food products

- Handle cash transactions accurately and efficiently

- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations during peak hours

Qualifications:

- Previous experience as a Barista or in a similar role is preferred

- Knowledge of coffee brewing techniques and different coffee blends

- Familiarity with Square POS system is a plus

- Strong math skills for cash handling and retail calculations

- Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tasks simultaneously

- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail

- Strong communication skills to interact with customers and team members effectively

- Willingness to learn and adapt to new recipes and techniques in coffee preparation
