CNC SWISS Screw Machine Programmer – Engineering Department

We are a privately owned small business headquartered in York, PA. Our core business is industrial manufacturing. We are a distributor and a maker of parts used to build OEM equipment. We also kit and package those goods, operate a precision metal cutting CNC shop, and provide 3rd party logistics management services to our customers.

This role requires the ability to build strong relationships within our organization, with our customers and with our suppliers. Experience as a CNC programmer, machinist, working with engineered items, following a quality system, and demonstratable comprehension of technical skills related to machining will be at the forefront. We will first prioritize candidates with the character and personality that best fits our culture and team. Experience in programming CNC machines, working within a quality management systems like ISO 9000 and AS9100, with demonstratable comprehension of technical matters is required.

A hands-on approach and willingness to learn and program other machining methods and achieving departmental goals will differentiate a successful candidate. Role

The CNC SWISS Screw Machine Programmer/Engineer is responsible for programming, assisting with set-ups, employee development, and execution of meeting all quality-related requirements of the given part. Ability to program CNC SWISS Screw Machine or 2 of the following:

1. Lathe

2. Vertical Machining Center

3. Mill Turn

Responsibilities

· Possess general operational knowledge to be able to program machining center(s) in assigned Work Area

· Translate customer requirements and engineering drawings into actionable steps and procedures for production resources to implement.

· Specify, requisition for purchase all necessary tooling, inserts, and job-specific material.

· Ensure all tooling and machine equipment is sufficient and supplied prior to the start of a production job packet in assigned Work Area

· Write, edit, and maintain Control Plans to make good quality parts in assigned Work Area

· Support all technical machining setups and operations of machines in Work Area to make a quality part compliant to the engineering drawing.

· Interpretation of measurements and test results to support decisions concerning product conformance.

· Apply experience and project management skills to technical and business matters.

· Build robust relationships with internal and external stakeholders to best advance strategic initiatives of the organization.

· Provide technical support to matters related to product quality, process, inspection, and testing techniques.

· Assist leadership team with analysis of organizational performance and provide guidance for implementation of improvements.

· Participate in sales bidding process with capabilities, limitations, and cost on new/existing projects.

· Support Work Area Leads in training activities to optimize a flexible production workforce.

· Perform other duties as necessary.

· Comply with MCF policies and procedures.

· Support and improve workplace health and safety in assigned work area.

Skills Required 4 years of demonstrable CNC Programming experience.

· ERP System experience

· Excellent verbal communication, writing, math, and organizational skills

· Capable of defining problems, collecting data, establishing facts, and drawing valid conclusions

· Strong technical knowledge of manufacturing processes and engineered items

· Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively

· Team oriented, must have the ability to work cohesively with others.

· Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel/Word)

· Hours are M-F 7am-4pm

· This is an in-office position, it is NOT remote
