A Reliability Engineer job in Tacoma, WA, is available at Milgard Windows and Doors. 

Under the direction of the Department Manager. You are responsible for managing and supporting Asset Consistency activities for MITER Brand’s Milgard Division sites. You will be responsible for managing numerous dependability improvement initiatives and projects to achieve desired results and actively interface with all levels of the organization.

Reliability Engineer job responsibilities include:

• Provide technical engineering support and training to Milgard Plant Site maintenance, reliability, engineering & operation leaders to support enterprise-wide asset management strategies to include early equipment management, maintenance management, vendor management, and total productive maintenance.
• Manages and develops engineering solutions to repetitive asset failures that adversely affect plant operations using statistical process control, dependability modeling & prediction, fault tree analysis / RCA, and failure reporting analysis. 
• Leads and manages reliability, plant engineering & maintenance resources in the development of design, installation specification, and creation of effective asset care strategies for new and existing assets.
• Leads in the development and application of criteria for evaluation of equipment, technical MRO suppliers, and technical maintenance service providers to include negotiation and vendor management.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or have equivalent knowledge and experience 
• 3-5 years previous experience in Maintenance, Dependability, or Engineering Management.
• Ability to work independently with limited direction and show initiative in decision-making.
• Must be detail-oriented and communicate clearly with management, personnel, and vendors.
• Ability to lead, support and effectively communicate to team members at all levels of the organization
• Self-starter and ability to work independently
