Occupational Therapist

Job Summary

Milestone Health Partners of Williston is growing and seeking to add a full-time occupational therapist who wants to be a part of a multidisciplinary team. The position is focused on a therapist who enjoys working with children with diagnoses such as autism spectrum disorder, cerebral palsy, genetic disorders, learning disabilities and other developmental disabilities, utilizing a variety of intervention approaches, including Sensory Integration, Neurodevelopmental Treatment, and functional and purposeful play. The position is open to a therapist who enjoys working with the adult population as well focusing on orthopedic impairments of the upper extremity and deficits with activities of daily living. Come and be a part of a dynamic and supportive work environment. Duties and Responsibilities

• Assesses patients and makes recommendations on the need for or modifications of therapeutic activities
• Consults with appropriate team members regarding patient’s continuity of care and treatment plan
• Writes reports regarding patient progress and competency
• Participates in treatment team, staff, and professional meetings
• Participates in training programs as a supervisor for trainees 
• Works collaboratively with other disciplines
• Presents on pediatric and adult occupational therapy topics to individuals in the community

Requirements and Qualifications

• Masters of Occupational Therapy degree

• Licensed by the North Dakota State Board of Occupational Therapy Practice
• Experience with pediatric and adult population is appreciated, but not required
• Experience with splinting for elbow, wrist and hand preferred
• Compassionate and sensitive to patients’ needs and concerns
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team
