Salary Range: $28.00 - $36.00 Hourly

Description

  • Lead a team of drywall installers and laborers to ensure efficient and high-quality installation of drywall, including hanging, taping, finishing, and texturing.
  • Collaborate with project managers to understand project requirements, timelines, and budgets. Coordinate with other trades and subcontractors to ensure smooth workflow and timely completion of drywall tasks.
  • Review and interpret construction blueprints, drawings, and specifications to plan and execute drywall installation according to project requirements and industry standards.
  • Coordinate material ordering and delivery to ensure availability of necessary supplies and equipment for the project. Monitor inventory levels, manage waste, and optimize material usage to minimize costs.
  • Conduct regular inspections of completed work to ensure compliance with quality standards, building codes, and project specifications. Address any deficiencies or issues promptly to maintain project quality and client satisfaction.
  • Enforce safety protocols and regulations to maintain a safe work environment for all team members. Conduct regular safety meetings, inspections, and training sessions to promote a culture of safety and minimize accidents or injuries.
  • Provide guidance, training, and mentorship to drywall crew members to enhance their skills and productivity. Identify training needs and opportunities for professional development to improve team performance.
  • Maintain open and clear communication channels with project stakeholders, including project managers, subcontractors, suppliers, and clients. Provide regular progress updates, address concerns, and resolve conflicts effectively.

Qualifications


  • Proven experience in drywall installation and construction supervision, with at least 5 years of experience in a similar role within the commercial construction industry.
  • Strong understanding of drywall materials, techniques, and tools. Familiarity with construction blueprints, drawings, and specifications. Knowledge of building codes and regulations related to drywall installation.
  • Excellent leadership and team management abilities, with the capacity to motivate, delegate, and mentor team members effectively. Demonstrated leadership in promoting safety, quality, and productivity on construction sites.
  • Clear and effective communication skills, both verbal and written. Ability to communicate with diverse stakeholders, resolve conflicts, and convey complex information in a concise manner.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and manage multiple projects simultaneously. Attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate project documentation.
  • Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment and promoting a culture of safety among team members. Knowledge of OSHA regulations and best practices in construction safety.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to identify and address challenges proactively. Capable of making sound decisions under pressure and adapting to changing project requirements.
  • Preferred certifications may include OSHA 30-Hour Construction Safety Certification, First Aid/CPR Certification, and any relevant trade certifications or licenses.
