This role is responsible for assisting the Financial Reporting Officer in the completeness, accuracy, and preparation of the Company’s periodic financial reporting to the Securities and Exchange Commission, regulators, and the Company’s executive management team and board of directors.

Responsibilities

  • Assists the Financial Reporting Officer in planning and coordinating timely and accurate external financial reporting to the SEC including the preparation, review, submission, and distribution of periodic financial reports, such as the 10-K and 10-Q.
  • Assists the Financial Reporting Officer in performing and/or coordinates an independent, detailed review of financial reports and supporting schedules to ensure accuracy and integrity of the same.
  • Assists the Financial Reporting Officer in planning and coordinating earnings release and investor presentation materials.
  • Assists in the preparation of financial reporting to regulators, including the call report, FR Y-9C, and FR Y-9LP
  • Assists in the preparation of periodic financial reporting to the Company’s executive management team and board of directors.
  • Participates in the maintenance of effective disclosure controls and procedures.
  • Stays abreast of best practices in financial reporting.
  • Assists in maintaining and assessing the Company’s internal controls over financial reporting.
  • Performs technical accounting research, analysis, and documentation of complex accounting transactions and topics.
  • Leads and/or participates in fulfilling ad hoc financial reporting requests.
  • Fosters proactive working relationships with cross-functional departments to ensure timely and accurate receipt of financial information used in financial reports.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree with other specific professional or technical certifications in related field.
  • 3 years of experience in financial reporting and accounting research
  • Active CPA license
  • Experience with SEC filings
  • Experience in the banking or financial industry
