Midwest Special Education Cooperative is Hiring a School Psychologist Near Morris, MN

The Midwest Special Education Cooperative in Morris, MN has an opening for a School Psychologist for the 2024-2025 school year to work in their member districts. This position is up to 1 FTE.

Qualifications:

  • Valid Minnesota licensure to practice as a school psychologist.
  • Master’s degree.
  • Prefer meets DHS for Mental Health Professional.
  • Must be able to transport self, instructional materials, assessment kits, equipment or other necessary job-related items.

Basic responsibilities:

  • Assess difficulties of referred students through appropriate evaluation procedures within timelines.
  • Complete evaluations and functions as a team member in special education placement decisions.
  • Assists school personnel in identifying students with disabilities.
  • Participates in child study meetings.
  • When appropriate, conducts individual/group counseling.
  • Provides consultation to school personnel and families.
  • Defines school psychological services to school personnel and families.
  • Prepares and submits reports within timelines.
  • When appropriate, consults with staff of outside agencies.
  • When appropriate, attends staff, professional and interagency meetings.
  • Assists with in-service training of school personnel.
  • Keeps current with new developments in the field.
  • Provides direct and indirect interventions to facilitate and/or enhance student achievement.
  • Assists in developing programs that will enhance student achievement.
  • Establishes and maintains positive working relationships with other professionals, students, and their families.
  • Perform all tasks necessary to collect third party (MA) payment as appropriate.
  • Conduct yourself with a high degree of professionalism.
